Consider this…
The two MNCs i.e. Coca Cola & Pepsi are extracting 50 – 60 million litres of water every year in India. These companies take our groundwater, put in a pinch of essence imported from the United States and then sell us our water at a price of Rs 12 per bottle.
This all is happening when our rivers are drying day by day, droughts are occurring in many parts of the country, how can we be so blind about the destruction that we people, in a way, are encouraging.
Many people in India don’t have access to drinking water. Ground water table is going deeper day by day. You all must be aware about the row over Coca Cola bottling plant in Kerala. If people in Kerala can feel the pinch, what about the people in villages of Rajasthan?
And see how intelligent we guys are. We talk about RoI and value of money, there’s hardly any returns you get other than the polluted rivers and lands from the waste generated and not to forget the chemical actually eating away bones of your body. They have created hardly any jobs and have not invested in social work, only in cricket, and there also the uniforms have to be sponsored by an Indian company.
After Coca Cola row in Kerala, many universities and colleges across UK and USA banned coca cola from their campuses. But as far as I remember no such thing happened here.
What we guys are waiting for??
Let’s behave a little intelligently and get up in arms against these beverages and stop consuming these soft drinks.
